You may know Rochelle Adkinson as the girl who shopped Chicago trying to get the look for less on WGN’s home design show, “Bring it Home” (2011-2013). But as a Chicago-based television host/producer, Rochelle has dabbled in just about every genre, from home design, to food and health, to corporate and commercial production.
Rochelle is an Emmy-nominated host/producer and a familiar face on Chicago’s WGN-TV as well as CLTV, having hosted the real estate series “HomesPlus” (2007-2010) and “Bring it Home” (2011-2013) as well as other various specials over the years. She is currently the managing producer of WGN-TV’s Weekend Workbench, an Emmy Award winning do-it-yourself home improvement series in its third season. But whether she’s trying to recreate a master retreat on a budget or teaching homeowners how to tackle their own home repairs, she brings years of experience in television production with her.
Prior to her work in Chicago, Rochelle spent five years as an award-winning producer and anchor at a local station in Miami, Florida where she covered everything from red carpet events to interviews with local government officials.
Originally from northeast Ohio, Rochelle earned a degree from the University of Miami in Broadcast Journalism. In addition to her regular work on WGN-TV and CLTV, Rochelle continues to freelance as a host, producer and voice talent on various productions across the country. Around her Chicago home, she’s more commonly known as “mommy” to her two daughters, who also ham it up whenever a camera comes out!
